Our client is an outsourced provider of a range of business support services to niche financial services businesses. Their range of services comprises: Start-up Consulting, Tax Advisory and Compliance, Accounting and Payroll, Regulatory Compliance and IT. It is an entrepreneurial business aimed at entrepreneurial clients. They have a talent for building long term relationships with their clients and the service delivery is constantly adapting to the needs of the individual clients as their businesses grow and develop.
As the business grows, a need has arisen for an additional qualified accountant within the team providing outsourced accounting and payroll services to their clients. This team currently comprises of 4 individuals, headed by a senior manager. The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified accountant and likely to come from an investment background (either within the investment management industry or within practice where they have had good exposure to investment management clients).
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit, excellent client relations and a proven track record at responding to clients needs.
- Need to have great attention to detail and enjoy delivering accurate work in a self sufficient way – this is a hands on role.
- Need to support and manage other members of the team, so being a flexible team player and a self-starter are key attributes.
- Require book keeping experience, management accountancy, statutory accounts preparation, plus preparation of regulatory reporting to FSA. An ability to understand the FSA prudential supervision rules is also important.
This small but fast growing business now has 5 partners and approximately 17 staff. It adopts an open culture, with a flat management structure, where excellence in client service is their hallmark. Similarly the internal culture is marked by flexibility with some staff working part time and a number working partially from home where this fits in with their individual work requirements.
Our client who is based in London will consider candidates on either a full-time flexible basis, or working 4 days per week. There are opportunities for occasional home-working and/or flexible start and finish times.
Salary package up to £60k FTE plus discretionary bonus and family private medical insurance. Salary sacrifice arrangement may be available for other benefits.
